Fat Out Fest Makes a Welcome Return to Salford

Last weekend marked the long-awaited live return of Fat Out Fest, bringing all the noise, queer energy and mayhem to Salford for Halloween.

With over 60 artists performing across five spaces in Regents Trading Estate, The White Hotel and The Old Pint Pot, the festival was back with a bang for its first edition since 2017, and we have had the pleasure of looking after the communications campaign.

Fat Out, working with curatorial partners Body Horror, Bollox, Box Records, Brave Exhibitions Festival, Counterflows Festival, Creatures of Catharsis, Gross Indecency and Upset the Rhythm, brought a collaborative celebration of the obscure, the legendary, and the surprising creators of music and visual arts.

With a stellar line-up including the brilliant UKAEA, Bleaching Agent, Algernon Cornelius and The Untold Orchestra, plus many (MANY!) more, this was always going to be a massive weekend and it certainly did not disappoint.

The return of this iconic festival gained excellent support from the local media with coverage appearing in Creative Tourist, Canal Street Online, Confidentials, Manchester’s Finest and Salford Now amongst others.

Fat Out is such an important festival for Salford, Manchester, and beyond, and we are so proud to be part of its return… we can’t wait for next year!

They’re not in competition with the big national festivals. […]
