The Campaign

In December, 2023 CHANEL brought its Métiers d’art show to the city of Manchester. The vibrant show embraced the infamous punk and rave culture of 70’s and 80’s Manchester with themes running throughout the show and the accompanying exhibition at Victoria Baths.

Sundae was brought in as a consultant for Manchester, supporting integration into the city, looking at all key cultural, education and business touch points, plus sharing knowledge and building  relationships with local and regional media and advising on communications with local businesses and residents.

We  supported the creation of detailed and highly researched guest lists and advised on cultural outreach, plus key creatives to be included in the show and exhibition and education partnerships.

The event delivered 2000+ pieces of positive global coverage which was valued at more than £100m, with many publications who had visited the city, sharing a new perspective on Manchester and its current outlook with Harper’s Bazaar dubbing it a ‘fashionable hotspot’.
